Hotteok / 호떡 (Korean Pancake)
Hotteok is one type of rice cake that is popular in South Korea. If you usually rice cakes cooked by steaming, hotteok cooked by frying. This hotteok flat round shaped stuffed with chopped peanuts mixed with sugar and cinnamon powder. This typical snacks of the most enjoyable winter.
Ingredients:
150 grams of flour
2 tablespoons sugar
10 grams instant yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
120 ml warm water
1/2 teaspoon salt
50 grams of sugar ants
100 grams of peanut roaster (roughly chopped)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
How to make:
- Stir in the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, vegetable oil, knead with warm water pour se sdikit by little, until the dough is smooth and does not stick to hands. Let stand for 30-60 minutes until the dough.
- While waiting for the dough skin expands, we make contents which consisted of peanuts, palm sugar and cinnamon powder. Set aside.
- After 30-60 minutes the dough expands 2x larger than its previous size. Then make a hole in the middle.
- Take sdikit dough, rounded-rounded then flaked. Give the dough stuffing beans to taste and then closed again. Round-round it off again and hit a little bit so that its shape resembles a slightly flattened bakpia.
- Allow the dough approximately 10 min. Heat a pan with a little oil. Roasted over low heat, turning the cake if it looks brown and cooked through. Remove and serve while warm.
